A clifftop Buddhist hermitage perched near the summit of Dalmasan Mountain in Haenam, the southernmost point of the Korean mainland. The precarious stone-and-wood structure offers sweeping views of the sea and surrounding peaks.
7 Gochangeupseong Bamboo Grove
고창읍성 맹종죽림
A dense grove of tall maengjong (moso) bamboo lining the approach to Gochang's historic walled town. The bamboo path and the adjacent Joseon-era fortress wall create one of Jeolla's most atmospheric walking trails.
8 Uhwajeong Pavilion

A traditional Korean pavilion in Jeongeup set over a lotus pond, named after the legend of a crane that ascended to heaven from this spot. The surrounding garden blooms with lotus flowers in summer.

Korea's largest tea plantation in Boseong, covering 560 hectares of hillside with orderly rows of green tea bushes. The terraced fields cascading down misty slopes have been featured in numerous Korean films and dramas.
10 Mireuksa Temple Site
미륵사지
A UNESCO World Heritage Site in Iksan preserving the ruins of the largest Buddhist temple of the Baekje Kingdom. The recently restored western stone pagoda (7th century) is the oldest and largest surviving stone pagoda in Korea.

12 Suncheonman National Garden
순천만국가정원
Korea's first national garden, created for the 2013 Suncheon Bay Garden Expo. The 112-hectare park features themed gardens from 11 countries, a lake garden, and a sky bridge connecting to the adjacent Suncheon Bay wetland.
13 Chaeseokgang Cliff
채석강
Dramatic layered sedimentary cliffs on Buan's Byeonsan Peninsula coast, formed over 70 million years. The stacked stone pages resemble an open book, earning comparisons to China's famed Caishi (hence the name). Best viewed at low tide.
14 Dolsando Island
