Haemieupseong Fortress

해미읍성

A well-preserved Joseon-era fortress built in 1491 to command coastal defenses. The 1.8 km stone walls enclose government buildings and a 300-year-old zelkova tree. Also a site of Catholic martyrdom during the 19th-century persecutions.

Ganwolam Hermitage

간월암

A small Buddhist hermitage on a rocky islet off the Seosan coast that becomes an island at high tide and reconnects to the mainland at low tide. Famous for its full-moon sunrise views and tidal access path.

Ojiri Tidal Flat

오지리 갯벌

Part of the vast Garorim Bay mudflat system, where local villagers harvest clams using traditional hand-raking methods. The tidal flat stretches for kilometers and is recognized as one of Korea's most ecologically significant coastal wetlands.

Yugibang House

유기방가옥

A centuries-old traditional Korean house in Unsan-myeon, Seosan, famous for its sprawling garden of over 1,000 plum trees. Each spring the estate transforms into a sea of white plum blossoms, drawing photographers and visitors from across the country.
