Jeonju has warm summers and cold winters typical of inland Korea. The Hanok Village is best experienced in spring and autumn when temperatures are comfortable for walking. The city is famous as Korea's food capital — every season has seasonal specialties.

When to Visit Jeonju
Spring
March - MayHanok Village is beautiful with spring flowers. Perfect for the famous Jeonju bibimbap walking tour. The Jeonju Film Festival happens in late April-May.
Summer
June - AugustHot and rainy. Cool down with patbingsu (shaved ice) and cold naengmyeon (buckwheat noodles). The traditional hanok houses stay surprisingly cool.
Autumn
September - NovemberBest season for Jeonju. Comfortable walking weather, fall colors in Hanok Village. The Jeonju Bibimbap Festival is in October.
Winter
December - FebruaryCold but the Hanok Village has a quiet charm. Warm up with Jeonju-style bean sprout soup (kongnamul-gukbap) and makgeolli. Fewer tourists.
