Bulguksa Temple

불국사

A UNESCO World Heritage temple built in 528 during the Silla Kingdom, renowned for its stone terraces, Dabotap and Seokgatap pagodas, and the Seokguram Grotto nearby.

Cheomseongdae Observatory

첨성대

Built around 632-647 AD during Queen Seondeok's reign, this bottle-shaped stone tower is the oldest surviving astronomical observatory in East Asia. It stands 9.17 m tall with 362 stones representing the days of a lunar year.

Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond

동궁과 월지

The crown prince's secondary palace during the Silla period, featuring a large man-made pond with three islands. The illuminated pavilions reflected on the water at night are one of Gyeongju's most photographed scenes.

Hahoe Folk Village

하회민속마을

A UNESCO World Heritage village where the Nakdong River bends in an S-shape around 600-year-old thatched and tiled-roof houses. Home to the Hahoe Byeolsin-gut Tallori mask dance tradition.

Woryeonggyo Bridge

월영교

A 387 m wooden pedestrian bridge over the Nakdong River in Andong, the longest wooden bridge in Korea. Illuminated at night with colorful lights, it connects the old town to a lakeside park and is named after the legend of a couple separated by the river.

Daereungwon (Tumuli Park)

대릉원

A royal burial complex in central Gyeongju containing 23 large tomb mounds of Silla kings and nobles. The Cheonmachong (Heavenly Horse Tomb) is open to visitors, displaying a replica of the famous painted birch-bark saddle guard discovered inside.

Hwangnyongwon

황룡원

A landscaped park and plaza on the site of the ancient Hwangnyongsa Temple, the largest Silla-era temple that once housed a 9-story wooden pagoda. The open grounds offer views of Gyeongju's tomb fields and surrounding mountains.

Byeongsanseowon

병산서원

A UNESCO World Heritage Confucian academy founded in 1572, set against the dramatic cliff face of Byeongsan Mountain along the Nakdong River. Its Mandaeru Pavilion frames the river and mountain like a natural screen painting.

Woljeonggyo Bridge

월정교

A reconstructed Silla-era stone and wood bridge spanning the Namcheon Stream in Gyeongju. Originally built in the 8th century, the current restoration features ornate double-roof gate pavilions at each end and is spectacularly lit at night.
