
SEVENTEEN debuted on May 26, 2015 under Pledis Entertainment (now HYBE) as a 13-member self-producing group. The name represents 13 members + 3 specialized units (hip-hop, vocal, performance) + 1 team. Members are actively involved in songwriting, production, and choreography.
Their 2023 EP FML became the biggest-selling album of 2023 globally (IFPI), with over 6 million copies sold. They became the first K-pop act to perform on Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage (2024) and were appointed UNESCO Goodwill Ambassadors for Youth (2024).
SEVENTEEN won back-to-back MAMA Album of the Year awards (2023-2024) and celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2025 with the full album HAPPY BURSTDAY.
As of 2026, four members are serving mandatory military service: Jeonghan (enlisted Sep 2024), Wonwoo (Apr 2025), Woozi (Sep 2025), and Hoshi (Sep 2025). The remaining nine members continue group and solo activities, including the NEW_ world tour encore.
