About
A national museum in Gongju focused largely on the Baekje culture of the Ungjin period. Its centerpiece is the collection excavated from the Tomb of King Muryeong, including the gold crown ornaments of the king and queen and other grave goods recognized as National Treasures.
Galleries trace the Gongju region from prehistory through the Baekje court, with the stone guardian animal from Muryeong's tomb as the museum's emblem.
