When to Visit Seoul

Spring

March - May

Cherry blossoms peak in early April. Temperatures swing 10+ degrees between morning and afternoon — layer up. The best weather for palace visits and park walks.

Summer

June - August

Monsoon season (jangma) hits mid-June to late July with heavy rain. August is hot and humid (30°C+). Carry an umbrella and stay hydrated. Indoor attractions and underground shopping are your friend.

Autumn

September - November

The best season to visit Seoul. Clear skies, comfortable temperatures, and spectacular fall foliage from mid-October. Perfect for hiking Bukhansan or strolling Namsan.

Winter

December - February

Cold and dry (-5 to 2°C). Pack thermal layers, a heavy coat, and hand warmers. Fewer tourists mean shorter lines. Enjoy jjimjilbang (Korean saunas) and steaming street food.
