FTISLAND debuted on June 7, 2007 under FNC Entertainment with the album Cheerful Sensibility, led by the hit single Love Sick. As one of the earliest idol bands in K-pop, they perform with live instruments rather than backing tracks. Originally a five-member group, the lineup changed over the years as Oh Won-bin, Song Seung-hyun, and Choi Jong-hoon departed, leaving the current three members: vocalist and leader Lee Hong-ki, bassist Lee Jae-jin, and drummer Choi Min-hwan.
The band renewed its contract with FNC Entertainment in January 2026.
