About Red Velvet
Red Velvet debuted in August 2014 under SM Entertainment with 'Happiness.' They are known for their dual concept — alternating between upbeat 'Red' releases and moody 'Velvet' R&B tracks. Yeri joined as the fifth member in March 2015.
All thirteen Korean EPs have topped the Circle Album Chart. They performed in Pyongyang, North Korea in April 2018 as part of a historic inter-Korean cultural exchange, becoming one of the few K-pop acts to perform there.
In 2025, Wendy and Yeri's exclusive contracts with SM ended, but both remain in the group for all future activities.
