About SHINee
SHINee debuted in 2008 under SM Entertainment and are widely credited with expanding K-pop's international fanbase during the late 2000s-2010s. Known as the 'Princes of K-pop,' their precise choreography and innovative R&B-pop sound set new standards for the genre.
Original member Jonghyun passed away in December 2017. The remaining four members have continued as SHINee while also pursuing solo careers. Onew moved to Griffin Entertainment and Taemin to Galaxy Corporation (2026) for individual activities, while group activities remain under SM.
In May 2025, SHINee held their 17th anniversary concerts (SHINee WORLD VII: E.S.S.A.Y) and released a tribute single 'Poet|Artist' in honor of Jonghyun.
