Super Junior debuted in 2005 under SM Entertainment and are recognized as pioneers of the Korean Wave (Hallyu). Originally a rotational group concept that was later abandoned, they became one of the most influential K-pop acts of the second generation. 'Sorry, Sorry' (2009) became a pan-Asian hit.
They have released twelve studio albums, with their twentieth anniversary album Super Junior25 (2025) featuring nine active members. Their Super Show concert series has toured extensively worldwide, with Super Show 10 visiting 16 cities.
The group maintained consistent activity despite members' military service periods, setting the template for how K-pop groups manage enlistment.
