A Yellow Sea port frozen in its early 20th-century modern streetscape
A Jeollabuk-do port city on the Yellow Sea whose inner harbor preserves one of Korea's densest collections of early 20th-century modern buildings. The former customs house, the former Bank of Joseon branch, and the inner-port floating pier survive from the era when Gunsan shipped rice through its harbor, and the streetscape has become a favorite backdrop for Korean films and dramas.
