About
A floating wharf on the Gunsan inner harbor, built during the Japanese colonial period to load cargo despite the Yellow Sea's unusually wide tidal range. The deck rests on pontoons and rises and falls with the tide, linked to the shore by hinged ramps.
It is a National Registered Cultural Heritage site and one of the most recognizable structures of Gunsan's port history.
