About
A large brick bank building from the early 1920s, built as the Gunsan branch of the Bank of Joseon when the port was a hub for rice exports. The imposing facade reflects the wealth that passed through the harbor during the colonial period.
It is a National Registered Cultural Heritage site and now serves as the Gunsan Modern Architecture Museum. The surrounding district is a popular backdrop for Korean period films.
